Could the whole family do with a bit of Yoga? Why not bring your kids along to this family workshop. It would suit ages 2.5 plus but younger ones are always welcome 🙂

It will ultimately be fun but will also help give each member of the family the tools to take responsibility for their own well-being and be more considerate/compassionate/aware of others. Encourage and develop flexibility, motor skills, confidence, physical fitness and awareness. Whatever age, together we will explore appropriate postures/asanas, Yoga games, breathing/pranayama, Yoga singing and the opportunity to relax together :)!!!!

Would you like to introduce Children’s Yoga classes at your school? I currently teach at two schools in north Colchester.

Children’s Yoga is fun, creative and non-competitive – the ideal activity to encourage pupils ro participate, who are less confident about team sports or reluctant to take part in more traditional PE classes. The use of animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualisation techniques teach children how to focus, relax and develop self-control: it actively supports the Sport and Pupil Premium for Primary Schools.

There are many ways in which Yoga classes can be incorporated into the learning experience offered by your school. Pupils could be offered Yoga as part of the core PE curriculum, as a before/after school club or it can also be combined well with their PSHE classes. Class can be created to fit around specific themes and topics your pupils currently study to enhance their experience and learning.
