About Pregnancy Yoga

Who can practise Yoga during Pregnancy?

Courses are open to anyone 16 weeks or over.

The first 14-15 weeks of pregnancy are the most vulnerable as the body is going through so much change. It is best to take it easy during this time, especially if you are new to Yoga. If you can, practice it throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Why practice Yoga during pregnancy?

Pregnancy Yoga combines working with the breath and gentle posture work to relax the body and mind and help you tune into You and your growing baby.

It can help maintain appropriate fitness during pregnancy and also deal with the physical & mental challenges pregnancy may bring, such as the flunctuating emotions, anxiety, back-ache, fatigue, insomnia and anxiety (to name but a few).

Postures are always modified depending on the stage of pregnancy and your physical capability. If you are suffering from particular pelvic pain such as Sacral problems or Symphasis Pubis (SPD) the class can help you maintain good posture in your everyday activities and not aggravate the condition.

Practising Yoga during pregnancy can also help prepare you for the birth of your baby and of course, you will meet other pregnant women at the same time!

If you have any questions to ask, please feel free to contact Naomi
